Tell me something that dramatically increases life satisfaction without costing you a cent?

A few months ago, I discovered the wallpaper shuffle feature on my iPhone. 

‍

While I felt I was late to the party, but now I know this cool secret, I have since been a total madman, changing anybody I meet's phone to the shuffle feature.

‍

But what started as me being obsessed turned into something way more meaningful with my team and my relationships.

‍

I'd be forcing someone to set it up, and suddenly, I'd be seeing their kids with ice cream all over their faces through their lock screen, their dog doing something ridiculous, and photos from holidays years ago they have almost forgotten.

‍

I recently did it with a client, and it opened up a deep chat about some of the challenges they are facing as a family - I never even knew about it.

‍

At first, what seemed like a gimmick has led to some genuine conversations. 

‍

What I love is when someone unlocks their phone in a meeting now or in private. 

‍

Like me, they get that little smile seeing their family photo, a micro moment and tiny reminder that we're all juggling work with what matters to us. It makes everyone a bit more human.

‍

The best team culture isn't always built through carefully designed agendas. It's built through the small moments where you show you care about what they care about. 

‍

I still have team members bring it up months later, not because they love the feature, but because of the reminders they now get.

‍
